About Us

Every great business starts with an idea.

Ours started with a ‘Kirsty thought’ and a piece of paper…

Like many of my projects, I had a vision. I could see families laughing together, festival-goers enjoying some friendly competition, and a mini golf experience that was different from the flimsy plastic courses often seen at events.

The only problem was… it didn’t exist yet.

At the time, my dad, Steve, had been seriously unwell and was spending time in hospital. We didn’t know what the future would look like, and I desperately wanted to give him something positive to focus on… something that would get him back doing what he loves most: creating, planning and back to woodwork.

So, before we even had a golf course, I started contacting festivals and asking whether they would be interested in hiring one.

All I had was an idea and a rough sketch on a piece of paper.

I may have told dad a white lie… I told him it had already been booked out and I needed him to help me (from his hospital bed)

Dad quickly scrapped my first design and told me it wasn’t good enough!

Then something amazing happened.

One of the festivals I contacted decided to take a chance on us.

Suddenly, we had just three months to design and build an entire nine-hole mini golf course from scratch.

At that point, Dad could barely stand for more than a couple of minutes at a time, but once he got started, something changed. I rented a workshop, he gritted his teeth, rolled up his sleeves and got back to doing what he does best.

That’s when Mike joined the adventure.

A friend, colleague and incredible craftsman, Mike threw himself into the project alongside Dad, and together they worked tirelessly to bring the vision to life.

Then, just as the first nine holes were finished, another booking came in.

The problem?

The first course was already hired out… and they wanted the same date…

So, most people would have said no…. but I simply decided we needed another nine holes.

Fast.

With even less time and even more pressure, Dad and Mike somehow managed to pull it off again.

What started as one handmade course has since grown into something much bigger.

Today, our collection includes multiple mini golf holes, bespoke obstacles, illuminated features, themed pieces, and customisable elements for weddings, festivals, corporate events and private celebrations.

Dad has even built an incredible full-size golf cart feature, while many of our holes can now be personalised with names, logos, colours and themes to make every event unique.

One of our favourite creations is our stunning metal wedding cake obstacle, designed to create those memorable photographs and talking points that guests remember long after the event ends.

We’re incredibly proud that every course has been built with care, creativity and attention to detail.

This isn’t a mass-produced product ordered from a catalogue.

It’s a family-built business, created with determination, craftsmanship and a lot of late nights.

Most importantly, it’s a reminder that sometimes the best ideas begin with a simple sketch, a little belief, and a team of people willing to make it happen.

A special thank you goes to my dad, Steve, and Mike.

Without their skill, dedication and countless hours in the workshop, Mini Golf Events simply wouldn’t exist.

And as for me?

I’m still turning crazy ideas on bits of paper into reality.
